Hello, members! It's been a while since we've had a new blog entry, so we're just popping in to give a quick refresher on what we expect to see in your submissions to Rank Challenges.
Please remember to take your time on your challenge pictures! There is no prize for finishing quickly, and no time limit on how long you must take to do them. We want you to submit your best work to this group. We can tell when you've skimped on details, especially when it comes to backgrounds. Most of us have used Photoshop for many years, and we recognize filters, blur tools, and pattern brushes when we see them.
Keep in mind that while we do have a base standard for submissions, we also take the skill level of each individual artist into account when considering a submitted piece. We will do our best to judge your pieces fairly, but we ask that you put forth a good-faith effort to create a complete picture in return.
A Note Regarding Human Characters for the Final Stage
If you choose a human for your gryphon's final stage, please be aware that pictures featuring human characters will receive EXACTLY THE SAME SCRUTINY in terms of anatomy and rendering that we apply to the gryphons.
